Hotel Exterior Cleaning

A hotel's exterior is part of the product. It shows up in photos before guests arrive.

Hotel exterior cleaning is different from standard commercial cleaning in one important way: the guest experience starts before they walk in. Arrival photos, Google Street View, and review site images all capture the exterior. Biological growth on a facade, dirty windows on upper floors, and a stained entry canopy are visible in those images and affect booking decisions.

We schedule hotel exterior work around occupancy — typically overnight or during low-occupancy windows. Drone delivery on upper floors means no scaffolding visible to arriving guests, no boom lifts in the parking area, and no crew working at height over the porte-cochère during check-in.

How exterior appearance affects hotel review scores

Review platforms weight first-impression comments heavily. 'The outside looked run-down' and 'windows were dirty' are recurring phrases in negative reviews for properties that haven't maintained their exterior. These comments affect aggregate scores, which affect booking rates.

A hotel that cleans its exterior on a regular schedule eliminates a category of negative review entirely. The cost of exterior cleaning is small relative to the revenue impact of a half-star drop in aggregate score.

Signs it's time to schedule

  • Biological growth or staining on the facade
  • Dirty windows visible on upper floors from street level
  • Stained entry canopy, porte-cochère, or awning
  • Pool deck with biological film or mineral scale
  • Parking area with oil staining and debris
  • Exterior appearance inconsistent with interior renovation

Hotel Exterior Cleaning questions

Can you clean overnight?

Yes. Overnight scheduling is standard for hotel work. We coordinate with your front desk and facilities team on access and timing.

How often should a hotel exterior be cleaned?

Most hotels benefit from quarterly cleaning of high-visibility areas (entry, canopy, ground-level windows) and annual or biannual cleaning of the full facade and upper windows.

Do you serve hotels outside Philadelphia?

Yes. We serve hotel properties across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Can you coordinate with our brand standards?

Yes. If your brand or franchise agreement specifies cleaning methods or frequencies, we work to those standards and can provide documentation for brand compliance reviews.
